This is a promotional card I did for my friend Dave Terry, whose band, Aqueduct, is releasing a cover of this old Bob Wills song as a web-only single, along with a track from his upcoming album, which I am also slated to do the artwork for. These are some images I did for [company name redacted]. I occasionally do work for their think tank here in Seattle, I think it's used for focus groups and stuff. Kinda boring, and as soon as I tried to inject a little fun into the illustrations, they said they wanted 'em "less cartoony" and "more like last year." This was one of the first times I tried illustrating from scratch in Photoshop -- usually I just scan pen drawings. At some point I'll post these concepts in the new style.

This was inspired by my friend Dave Terry telling me that he always thought the Batman logo looked like a mouth with curvy yellow teeth. I couldn't really see it, but it did inspire this weird image. I might make this into a t-shirt -- the people at Threadless would eat this up, I bet.
